- A Great Ormond Street Hospital play specialist to study the psychological preparation of children and their families, where the child is in need of renal transplantation, in Ontario, Canada
- An experienced teacher of children with hearing impairment to visit a school in Zaire to help with assessment of children's needs and the further development of a suitable curriculum
